SPRING FORWARD

As each season passes, I tend to do a 'refresh' here on my blog which tends to be a different colour scheme, along with a quick update on where I am in my life. I do this, because it keeps things new and fresh, and I love being creative in that way! I wanted to take my blog 'back to basics', and I don't know why, but recently I have been feeling that I haven't been pushing myself as much as I should be when it comes to creating new content for both my social media channels, and here on my blog.

However, fear not! I haven't fallen out of love with blogging, nor would I ever give it up. Instead, I took a step back to allow myself to re-evaluate on which direction I wanted to take my blog in, and to reconnect with the reasons as to why I began this blog. I have a few things planned for the upcoming Spring months and I will be adding a BRAND NEW SECTION very soon...

I also feel the need to declare that we are now officially in the best month of the year; April. I say that it's the best month of the year, simply because it is my birthday on the 22nd! *Hint.* I am also visiting Paris to celebrate, and I am beyond ecstatic! I have never visited Paris before, so I am really keen to explore a new city and to create loads of content!

Are you a fan of the 'back to basics' revamp? Do you have anything that you would like to see from me here on my blog and across my social media channels? Do you have any recommendations on where to visit in Paris when I go on my travels? Let me know, as I would love to hear from you all and I welcome any ideas and suggestions that you have! Have a great Spring!

SCARAMOUCHE + FANDANGO

I received a bundle of goodies from Scaramouche + Fandango for me to trial, and at first impressions, I was already completely won over by the bold, minimalistic packaging!

Scaramouche + Fandango are dedicated to delivering high performing body and skincare products, which are explained in a straightforward way as they believe that Male Grooming doesn't need to be overwhelming or seen as too difficult. Scaramouche + Fandango are putting the simplicity back into Male Grooming!

The products that I received were:

  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Body Wash
  • Hydrator
  • Face Scrub
  • Shave Cream

Out of the bundle, my favourites had to be the Shampoo, Hydrator and Face Scrub! The Shampoo had a really clean, and fresh scent to it and left my hair feeling soft and thoroughly cleansed. I applied the Hydrator after my shower, to retain some of the moisture which left my feeling moisturised and rejuvenated! I found that the Face Scrub was best applied just before going to bed, allowing any daily moisturisers or creams I had applied prior to this, to be cleansed. My skin appeared brighter and my pores were unclogged, leaving the texture of my skin feeling smooth and dirt-free!

You can purchase the full range of Scaramouche + Fandango products here, and with Father's Day coming up, it's always best to think ahead right...?

Have you tried any of the products by Scaramouche + Fandango before? If so, which did you try? Do you like the sound of these products? Will you be trying any of these out? Do let me know your thoughts down below, and don't forget to give this post a 'like'!

* Please note, as I am currently sporting facial hair, I was unable to trial out the Shave Cream.

NIKE - AIR MAX DAY

As today marks the official date of 'Nike Air Max Day' I had recently been selected by Very.co.uk as one of their bloggers to help celebrate this!

Air Max Day is celebrated yearly on the 26th March each year, and celebrates the innovation of air featured within Nike footwear. 2017 marks the 30th Anniversary of visible air - the first shoe Nike placed a visible air unit in was the Air Max one, when designer Tinker Hatfield had been inspired by the Pompidou Museum in Paris, and decided to showcase their innovative creation on the outside, as opposed to concealing it away on the inside!

I had an exciting interview with Nike where I got to choose a couple of my favourite staple pieces to be styled with some Nike Air Max. The interview is now live which you can read here! I'd just like to say a massive thank you to both Very.co.uk and Nike for selecting me as one of the bloggers, I feel honoured!

Have you got any trainers from Nike Air Max? If so, which ones do you have? Which are your favourites? Will you be celebrating Nike Air Max Day this year? Do let me know your thoughts below, and don't forget to click that like button!

PERRICONE MD H2 ELEMENTAL ENERGY

I recently had the pleasure of being invited along to the launch of Perricone MD's latest collection; H2 Elemental Energy, to learn more about the products featured within the range, and ultimately to try them out!

The location of the launch was set at The Deck within The National Theatre in London, and was a stunning venue with breathtaking views of the London skyline, especially once night had fallen in which all of the lights were lit up. As I entered the room, several podiums had been placed in the centre, showcasing the full range of the H2 Elemental Energy products in full.

The collection has been developed for those with normal to dry skin where the Hydrogen element of each of the products activates the skin's natural cellular energy in order for the skin to feel extremely hydrated, rejuvenated and to appear much more radiant!

The H2 Elemental Energy range consists of -

  • Hydrating Cloud Cream: An airy, cloud-like cream that delivers a fresh, hydrating sensation whilst providing the deep comfort of a moisturiser. 50ml / 1.7 FL. OZ. £69
  • Hydrating Booster Serum: An intense hydrating treatment to plump and smooth dry/dehydrated skin.       30ml / 1 FL. OZ. £80
  • De-Puffing Eye Gel: A cooling and soothing eye gel that de-puffs and hydrates the sensitive eye area.       15ml / 0.5 FL. OZ. £60
  • Firming Foam Mask: A lightweight mask that foams on contact to instantly energise and firm the skin, with a cooling sensation. 100ml / 3.4 FL. OZ. £48
  • Advanced Renewal Infusion Serum - 4 x 0.27 G/0.009 OZ. Infusion Concentrate Powder & 4 x 9ml / 0.3 FL. OZ. Serum Base Liquid: An intensive anti-aging booster treatment to be used in addition to your regular skincare for one month, 3-4 times yearly. £210

Each of the products are fragrance free and I have to say, these products are absolutely incredible in terms of how lightweight they are! I sampled them on the backs of my hands, and almost immediately they absorbed into my skin and left my skin feeling hydrated and smooth. As the event came to a close, I was lucky enough to have received their Hydrating Cloud Cream and their Firming Foam Mask.

HYDRATING CLOUD CREAM

Between the two products that I received, the Hydrating Cloud Cream has to be my favourite, despite it being a tough decision to make! I applied the Hydrating Cloud Cream at the end of my skincare routine, both in the morning and at nighttime as I found this helped to add more moisture and left my skin feeling ultra hydrated. The Cloud Cream has a very light texture to it, absorbing into my skin within seconds. It's that light! I also found that only a small amount was needed when it came to application, and after continuous use, I could begin to see that my skins appearance was brighter, and felt smoother and soft to touch. The Cloud Cream is available to pre-order here.

I must point out also, that I find the packaging of the H2 Elemental Energy Collection very slick, and 'futuristic' which is apt given that the entire collection is a first for skincare and a bold step from the original packaging of other Perricone MD products!

The H2 Elemental Energy is available to pre-order here, and is launching both online and in Harrods from April, then rolling out Nationwide from May. However, if you are reading from the United States, then you are in luck as the full collection is already available to purchase!

You can also read my other reviews on the other Perricone MD Skincare products such as the Photo Plasma and Cold Plasma!

Will you be trying out any of the products from the H2 Elemental Energy Collection? Have you used any skincare products by Perricone MD before? If so, which have you used, and what did you think? Do let me know your thoughts below, and give this post a like!

BYREDO; BIBLIOTHEQUE FRAGRANCE

As today marks the official date for National Fragrance Day, I wanted to share with you one of my recent findings. A new found favourite of mine, that is fast becoming a signature scent; Byredo - Bibliothéque!

On a recent trip to London, I made a quick pit stop at Liberty in between meetings, and headed straight over to the Byredo counter. I knew I wanted a candle of some sort, and as a huge fan of Byredo, I knew that the brand didn't disappoint when it came to finding unique, stunning scents. Bibliothéque was recommended to me, and I became instantly hooked! A beautiful smokey, creamy scent that emanates the entire room, leaving you feeling warm and snug.

Fast forward a couple of weeks later, and an email comes through notifying me that the Bibliothéque candle had been created into a fragrance for a limited time. Never before, have I booked a ticket down to London as quick just to get my hands on one of these bottles! Very rarely, can a candle get me as excited about a fragrance, than this one.

  • Top Notes: Peach, Plum
  • Middle Notes: Peony, Violet
  • Base Notes: Leather, Patchouli, Vanilla, Musk

The first spray starts off with a bold beginning with the richness of the Plum and Violet notes swirling around and blending together creating a fruity, exotic scent. As the dry-down takes place, the scent becomes more smokey and intriguing, and begins to feel slightly sweeter with the Vanilla note becoming prominent.

I find the scent so addictive and captivating, that although the projection and sillage of Bibliothéque is enormous, I still spray far more than I should, simply because it smells absolutely divine! The longevity of the fragrance lasted for up to 7-8 hours upon my skin, and has gained me countless amounts of compliments.

Overall, one of my all time favourite scents, in both candle form, and in fragrance! You can purchase the Byredo Bibliothéque candle here, and the fragrance here

Have you smelt Byredo Bibliothéque before? What do you think to it? Have you managed to smell it in fragrance form yet? If so, what are your thoughts? Do you have any favourites by Byredo? Which ones? Don't forget to click the like button, and leave me a comment down below!

SHOWstudio: MOVING KATE

Kate Moss to me is an absolute icon. I could honestly sit here and write for hours about Kate. In fact, I could probably dedicate a whole blog about her. But for now, I'll tell you about my recent trip to the SHOWstudio in London which is currently showcasing, the 'Moving Kate' exhibition.

'Moving Kate' is an exhibition which features many different illustrations and artworks on Kate's most iconic catwalk looks, all of which were handpicked by herself, and the iconic Fashion Photographer; Nick Knight, owner of SHOWstudio.

I was first made aware of the exhibition when I came across an image of the launch night, and almost immediately I was booking my tickets down to London.. Situated on Ebury Street, it is rather hidden away and I must admit, I walked past the building initially! Thanks to my 'trusty' iPhone Maps, I eventually found it and made my way into the Studio. A lot smaller than I imagined it would be, however it felt more intimate and personal with all of the artworks being grouped together.

The drawing which caught my eye immediately, was of Kate from the Louis Vuitton show, which was shown in monochrome with a bold splash of red around made for a striking piece and was perfectly done. I also have my own canvas of her from this particular catwalk! Another standout piece for me, was the miniature sculpture of her.

As I made my way around each image, it was refreshing and interesting to see how others view Kate Moss. Whether it be perfectly drawn with intricate detailing, or more abstract with bold, larger than life features!

A couple of my favourites from the exhibition were;

'Moving Kate' exhibition is currently showcasing and is free to the public. The exhibition will commence on 20th April, so if you're a fan of Kate Moss, then don't miss out! It is open Monday-Friday from 10:30am-6pm and is being held at;

SHOWstudio
22D Ebury Street
Belgravia, London,

ACQUA DI PARMA; CEDRO di TAORMINA

Although Spring hasn't officially arrived yet, these past couple of days I have been taken full advantage of the sunny weather, and to really emphasise that 'Spring feeling', I have been wearing the Cedro di Taormina by Acqua Di Parma. A perfect scent for those warm, sunny days!

Cedro di Taormina is an Eau De Toilette which has been inspired by the landscapes of Taormina along the Sicily Coast, and is part of the 'Blu Mediterraneo' collection by Acqua Di Parma.

The notes featured within Cedro di Taormina are;

  • Top Notes: Citruses, Petitgrain, Basil
  • Middle Notes: Black Pepper, Lavender
  • Base Notes: Labdanum, Vetiver, Virginian Cedar

The opening is a fresh, bold burst of fruity citrusey notes and has a rich feel to the fragrance with the Citrus notes blending with the Basil creating a green, earthy fragrance. Soon after, Cedro di Taormina takes a different turn, and becomes rather spicy with the Black Pepper note remaining prominent throughout.

During the dry-down, the scent becomes slightly woody, yet still has a very fresh, aquatic feel to it! The sillage is rather light to moderate, a bold opening, but becomes rather subtle as the scent dries down. In terms of the longevity, I would say that this lasted for up to 4-5 hours which given that this is an Eau De Toilette, is pretty impressive! I also want to point out that I am a huge lover of the packaging and how striking, yet simplistic the appearance of the bottle is.

You can purchase Cedro di Taormina here, and don't forget to take a look at the other fragrances from the Blu Mediterraneo collection! Keep your eyes peeled for more reviews from Acqua Di Parma, and if there are any fragrances that you would like me to review from them, please do let me know down below!
