THE ALCHEMIST - APEROL TERRACE

No matter how many times I visit Leeds, a quick drink at The Alchemist, is essential. I had received an invitation from The Alchemist, for their Blogger Event to launch their Aperol Terrace for the Summer. Of course, this was a no-brainer and I'm pretty sure I RSVP'd within the minute of receiving it!

I had invited Caitlin along with me, and prior to attending the event, we made a little detour and took a few photos for a Street Style shoot! I shall have those images coming very shortly, so come back for that! We had arrived at The Alchemist, and were greeted by the lovely Georgia who had explained to us what the event was for, and walked us through to our table outside. Caitlin and I had been given two little glass thimbles which were to be used as our 'free drink tokens.'

I had chosen the:

  • Aperol Spritz - Prosecco and Aperol served on the rocks with a splash of soda.
  • Bittersweet Symphony - Campari, Bulldog Gin, Vermouth and Lemon Juice shaken. Strained and topped with Lemonade.

I'll be honest, I had never tried Aperol before attending this event, and at first, I found it slightly bitter. However, as I got used to the taste, it became more palatable! Out of the two, Aperol Spritz was my favourite. It was very light and refreshing, which felt perfect for the upcoming Summer season! We had also been given some free popcorn, and I kid you not, they were the fanciest popcorn I have ever tasted - Truffle and Parmesan flavoured. Told you they were fancy!

The whole event felt very chilled, and luckily the sun was out in full force! Their DJ played some amazing tracks and fortunately, I had 'Shazam' on standby. A saxophonist played over the music, giving the event a good vibe! Here are just a few of my favourite tracks that got played:

What had felt like 30 minutes, turned out to be 2 hours! The time flew by, and sadly for me, I was driving. A lovely event, and one of the best ways to kickstart Summer. I cannot wait to return, and I am already picturing a Screwball in front of me...

Have you been to The Alchemist before? What's your favourite drink of theirs? I'd love to hear your comments!
