TOM FORD; ORCHID SOLEIL

I couldn't imagine wearing a more suitable fragrance to see out the remaining Summer weeks, than Tom Ford - Orchid Soleil.

Released in July 2016, Orchid Soleil is the latest addition to Tom Ford's 'Signature Collection'. As Black Orchid was the fragrance that made me fall heavily in love with the Tom Ford brand, I had high expectations for Orchid Soleil! I had seen many Instagram posts of the bottle, and I was in awe of how slick and stylish the rose gold bottle was!

Top Notes: Pink Pepper, Bitter Orange, Cypress

Middle Notes: Red Lily, Tuberose

Base Notes: Vanilla, Patchouli, Chestnut, Whipped Cream, Orchid

Now, I'll be honest. I had tried a little sample of this on the back of my hand in Harvey Nichols, and I had found that the initial spray for me, was too floral. Yet for some reason, I was addicted! I had spent the following hours afterwards, constantly going to smell my hand because I couldn't get enough of it! The tuberose note is the most prominent and in the dry-down I could begin to see the similiarities between Black Orchid, and Orchid Soleil. Both of which are extremely distinctive, captivating and powerful.

Irrespective of the Orchid Soleil campaign being aimed for women, I stand by the fact that I believe this fragrance is unisex. Slightly masculine with the way the that fragrance unfolds and becomes more 'green' with the Patchouli note kicking in, yet slightly feminine as the fragrance has that floral feel to it. The longevity of Orchid Soleil lasted for up to 6 hours on my skin, and has once again, been the reason for many compliments!

A creamy fragrance, and one that excites me whenever I wear this! If you're a fan of Black Orchid and Velvet Orchid, then I can guarantee you, that you will love Orchid Soleil.
