GIFTS ALL WRAPPED UP

One of my favourite things when it comes to ordering from Mr Porter and Net-A-Porter, is the option of having your packaging personalised. It adds that special feel to your gift, and gives the impression that extra care and effort has gone into providing you with the best online shopping experience! I also enjoy using both of the Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter websites for inspiration for Christmas Gifts, scrolling in awe through all of their the divine, luxurious items!

As a regular user of the Mr Porter website, it should come as no surprise to the fact that I absolutely love their Christmas Campaign with Net-A-Porter this year! The campaign is a fully animated short film, in which it features playful and chic characters, which help to bring the campaign to life. The animated film can be viewed here down below!

The animated film takes the viewer on a 'behind the scenes look' as to how their luxury purchases get ready for preparation, how they are packed, and how they are wrapped within the special, iconic packaging this Christmas! Simone Massoni is the illustrator behind this years 'Gifts All Wrapped Up' Christmas Campaign, and the campaign can be viewed on many social media platforms, and will also be live on their Net-A-Porter YouTube and Mr Porter YouTube channels.

Still undecided on what to purchase for your family and friends? Well, perhaps the Net-A-Porter & Mr Porter Gift Guides may help... You can view the Net-A-Porter Christmas Gift Guide here, and you can also view the Mr Porter Christmas Gift Guide here

Have you shopped with Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter before? What did you purchase? What do you think to their 'Gifts All Wrapped Up' Christmas Campaign? MR PORTER SUMMER '16 GROOMING BOX

Whenever I think of 'Mr Porter', I think of quality and luxury. Having shopped on the Mr Porter website frequently, primarily for their Male Grooming Products, I have always been impressed by the service, and equally the packaging in which the item comes in. As an avid lover of all things 'Male Grooming', it only felt natural to get my hands on the Mr Porter Summer 2016 Grooming Box!

Before finalising the online transaction, the Mr Porter website allows you to choose the option of having the Premium Packaging, or the Basic Packaging. The Premium Packaging consists of their iconic, sleek Mr Porter Signature white boxes, and it allows you to have the option of having a personalised label. The best thing about selecting the Premium Packaging option, is that it adds a personal touch to your goods, and it's free!

The Mr Porter Summer 2016 Grooming Box contains various Male Grooming essential goods which come in both travel sizes, and larger sizes. Within the box, it holds 13 items varying from haircare products, shower gels/soaps, moisturisers, skincare products and other toiletry essentials. I have compiled a list of the items within the box, and I have given a summary on each product!

Erno Laszlo - Antioxidant Complex For Eyes

I applied this eye cream on my orbital bone, just before going to sleep. Now, whilst I didn't notice a massive difference colour-wise, I did notice that my bags seemed less 'puffy', and the eye area appeared more hydrated and clean.

Baxter Of California - Exfoliating Body Bar

I absolutely adore the scent of this Exfoliating Body Bar, and found it to smell quite earthy with the Oakmoss note, whilst remaining masculine with the Cedarwood note. The body bar is travel sized making this ideal for slipping into your toiletry bag!

Tom Ford - Intensive Purifying Mud Mask

When I saw that Tom Ford was featured within the Mr Porter Grooming Box, I knew I was in for a treat! A great, little compact size of a fantastic product in which I have previously reviewed in full, which you can read here

Malin + Goetz - Grapefruit Face Cleanser

Admittedly for some bizarre reason, I only found out that Malin + Goetz did skincare through reviewing this product! My skin instantly felt smoother, and I felt as though my skin had been given a deep clean. I applied this face cleanser at nighttime, allowing the product to get rid of any dirt and to clean up my pores. An easy application, and one that is scented with grapefruit, leaving my skin smelling fruity and fresh!

Perricone MD - Cold Plasma

A jelly-like moisturiser, and one I was slightly dubious, yet excited to try out beforehand. I applied a small amount of this onto my finger, which I then massaged onto my face. It was only when I arrived at work, when somebody had complimented me on how clean my skin looked, that I realised that this product, was my new favourite! My skin did indeed look clean, and had a radiant look to it. Perhaps 'plasma moisturiser' is the next big thing...?

Dr Harris - Spearmint Toothpaste

This mini sized toothpaste surprised me, in the sense that it lasted a lot longer than I initially thought! Minty and fresh, great for keeping your mouth clean and one that won't take up a lot of room in your toiletry bag.

Lab Series - Future Rescue Repair Serum

I found that this product for me, was too rich for my skin unfortunately! Nevertheless, I am still a fan of the Lab Series brand, and I have reviewed various other products of theirs which you can read here

REN Skincare - Flash Defence Anti-Pollution Mist

I have found this product to be a life saver! For those mornings where I'm slightly rushed for work, or I need to revitalise my skin fast, this product has helped my skin to look refreshed. Simply spray this across your face and neck (preferably at an arm's length!), and leave it to soak in. It gave my skin a nice shine to it, without looking too oily or greasy!

Clinique For Men - Broad Spectrum Moisturiser SPF21

Before having used this product, I had always wanted to sample a Clinique product, just to see what the hype was about. Now, after having tried this out for myself, I now understand. The moisturiser absorbed easily into my skin, and left my skin feeling smooth, hydrated and is now a firm staple within my grooming regime!

Byredo - Mister Marvelous Cologne Soap

I don't know if I've been hiding under a rock these past few months, or if I'm just late to the game. I say this, because I feel as though Byredo have really come out of nowhere! I got introduced to the brand Byredo at the Mr Porter Summer Social Event, and fell in love with two of their fragrance samples; Mister Marvelous and Super Cedar. So, when I discovered that a Cologne Soap had been featured within this box, this became the first product I tried out! A strong scent, that lingers long after having showered.

Bumble & Bumble - Thickening Shampoo

With many shampoos that promise 'more volume' or 'softer locks', I tend to roll my eyes and discard them. However, with Bumble & Bumble's Thickening Shampoo, I was relatively surprised at the difference that I noticed. My hair felt in nicer condition, and was easier to style with product in afterwards!

Czech & Speake - Oxford & Cambridge Hydrating Body Wash

This particular body wash has a lavender scent to it, and it smells divine! A really rich, heightened version of a classic scent and one I found to be long lasting.

Patricks - M2 Matte Finish Medium Hold Pomade

Slightly difficult to unwrap the packaging, yet when once opened, I found this easy to stylise my hair with and my hair stayed in place. I also particularly loved the Sandalwood scent to this, and found it to linger nicely throughout the day.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What I love about the Mr Porter Grooming Box, is that it has introduced me to so many new brands and different products! Ones that I may not have come across before, or had the opportunity to try out, had it not been for this box. Each item has been as equally exciting as the other to try out, and I eagerly await in anticipation and hope, that Mr Porter release a Grooming Box for the upcoming A/W seasons!

The Mr Porter Grooming Box Summer 2016 is available to purchase here!

MR PORTER SUMMER SOCIAL EVENT

When the e-vite from Mr Porter came through into my inbox, almost immediately I was booking my train and hotel tickets! I am a regular visitor to the Mr Porter website, so to have been invited to their Summer Social event, felt quite surreal.

Prior to the event, I had a meeting with Xupes in Bishops Stortford in the morning, which can be read here, and I then made my way towards Covent Garden where I was staying over for the night. The event started at 5:30pm and I am so bad when it comes to time keeping, so I made a conscious effort to begin getting ready at 3.30pm. Now, I know you're thinking, 'It takes you 2 hours to get ready? Wow, that's a bit extreme.' It doesn't, however this is London, and this is the Mr Porter Summer Social Event!

Regardless of what time I had started to get ready, I was still late. Anyway! I had arrived at the Ham Yard hotel, and took the lift to the roof terrace. As I walked through the doors, I made an immediate beeline to the bar (of course.), and got myself 'The Don Fashioned' cocktail. It was sublime! There were musicians, the sun was shining, the atmosphere was very relaxed and everybody all looked impeccably dapper and glamorous!

Whilst I was waiting for my blogger friend, Martin to arrive, I made a quick phone call, and whilst that was happening, I was being photographed! The photographer gave me a polaroid and I felt as though I was some sort of celebrity! It was a rather surreal, yet exhilarating feeling. Martin then arrived, and we had a catch up and made our way over to the bar in which we both chose the 'Sipsmith Gin & Tonic.' We then had a small portion of ice cream in which you could choose 3 flavours, I chose the Dark Chocolate, Cherry and Vanilla. My mouth is actually watering as I'm typing this, it was so good!

After a few drinks, we collected our goody bags and inside was a gift card which allowed us to choose our favourite pair of shorts from Frescobol Carioca! I chose the Tracos Striped Mid-Length shorts. I then made my way back to my hotel room, after a perfect night. Thank you Mr Porter for the invite!

I will be doing a special YouTube video featuring the goodies within the goody bag that I received, so make sure you check back for that! Do you shop with Mr Porter? What's your favourite section? Let me know and leave a comment down below!
