KMS HAIR STYLING PRODUCTS

What I really like about the KMS website, is the ability to select your hair-type, your needs and what is most important to you when finding a product to suit your hair. Once selected from their menus, KMS then work out the best solution for you and match you up with their selected products!

KMS very kindly sent out two of their products for me to try;

  1. KMS: Hair Stay Hard Wax - I will admit, at first I found it rather hard to get some wax out of the tub which given by its name, I was expecting this to be the case, so I would advise you to keep pressing down until the wax softens which will then enable you to get a small amount from it. I then rubbed the Hard Wax into my hair and began to shape it into my desired hairstyle. The Hard Wax stayed upright in my hair throughout most of the day, however, as time went on it began to lose its shape a little but was easy to reshape again! I also liked that there was no product build-up and was easy to clean out when washed.
  2. KMS: Hair Play Dry Wax Hair Spray -  I found the scent of this hairspray sublime! It was incredibly fresh and citrusy without smelling like a typical hairspray so to speak. In terms of the hairspray itself, it was very fine and settled rather quickly. I liked that my hair didn't feel strawlike either which sometimes happens with other hairsprays I have tried before! My hairstyle stayed in place for the majority of the day but like the Hard Wax, was easy to reshape if my hair fell out of place a little. 

Overall, I found these two products by KMS easy to use, great to style and experiment with and I have finally found a hairspray that smells incredible as well as being effective!

MMUK MAN: BB CREAM

Yet another sterling offering by MMUK Man once again, this time in the form of their BB Cream!

I have recently been trying out their tinted moisturiser which is a new one for me as prior to trialling this, I have always had mixed opinions when it comes to tinted moisturisers. This was mainly due to them being slightly too 'orange and obvious' on my face which of course there is nothing wrong with that, but for my personal taste, if I'm wearing a tinted moisturiser then I tend to go for those that are more subtle which add a glow as opposed to sporting a 'heavy face'.

The shade that I had received was 'light' which was ideal for my skin tone as I am naturally fair skinned. I ensured that my skin had been cleansed prior to applying the BB Cream and applied lightly across my face to begin with, as I find that it is much easier to layer something up rather than having to scrub it away again. 

Once applied, I noticed a colour change that was subtle and didn't appear too obvious which was a winner for me! I liked that the cream didn't feel too dense or heavy upon my skin and my skins appearance looked healthier with a touch of colour. Perfect for those days where I'm looking a little too pale!

SUNDAY RILEY: TIDAL BRIGHTENING ENZYME WATER CREAM

I have truly fallen in love with the Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream by Sunday Riley and the reason for this is because this Water Cream does exactly what it says. It's easily absorbent on my skin and after several minutes after application, my face is glowing. AMAZING!

The Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream contains Hyaluronic Acid which attracts and retains up to 1000x its own weight in water which boosts hydration which allows your skin to appear firmer, 'plumper' and much more dewy! 

INGREDIENTS:

  • Hyaluronic Acid
  • Alpha Arbutin
  • Tamarind Seed Extract
  • Papain
  • Horse Chestnut Seed Extract

Prior to application, I made sure that my face had been thoroughly cleansed and used this both in the morning and at nighttime. I found it to be more effective in the morning as it brightened up my skin for the day ahead and my skin's texture felt smooth and hydrated. The texture of the Water Cream itself was incredibly light and didn't feel too dense or heavy when applied! I also loved that the Water Cream didn't give a shine to my skins complexion, but instead a healthy, dewy glow which gained me a compliment or two!

The only slight downside to this I find is that in terms of how much you get within the jar, I feel that perhaps there could be slightly more in there as I have almost run out after nearly 2 months... Don't get me wrong, however, that is due to continuous use I might add, but that is just a preference of mine! I guess this will have to be added to my birthday wishlist which is only a week away now, just saying...

GLAMGLOW - WATERBURST

With GLAMGLOW's newest release; Waterburst, I have recently had the pleasure of trialling this out on my skin! A water cream created with water from Jeju Island in the South Sea of Korea, formulated with GLAMGLOW's Moisture-Lock Technology which aims to deliver 72 hours of instant and long-lasting hydration keeping your skin hydrated and refreshed, it's safe to say that I was rather excited to try this out!

Waterburst contains GLAMGLOW's innovative Triple Hyaluronic Acid Complex with varying sizes of Hyaluronic Acid molecules which are powerful enough to absorb 1000x times their weight in water. Now that you know more about the science behind the product, I will now begin with my review!

I first began to cleanse to ensure that my face was completely dry and product-free prior to applying Waterburst. I applied the Waterburst into the palms of my hands and smoothed evenly over my face. Now, I don't want to create any hype or to seem I'm exaggerating at all, but I noticed a difference instantly.

My face almost immediately appeared brighter and had a fresh, dewy appearance! The moisturiser felt incredibly lightweight upon my skin and absorbed pretty quickly also. I liked how this didn't feel too dense nor heavy as opposed to other moisturisers I have tried in the past and I found that Waterburst was problem-free! I also need to comment on the scent of Waterburst, it smells delicious, almost like bubblegum!

GLOSSIER SUPER PURE SERUM REVIEW

Throughout last year I think it got to a point where I could no longer log onto my Instagram without seeing a Glossier product somewhere. Glossier was and still is EVERYWHERE! I had always been curious and keen to try Glossier out for myself to see what the hype was all about and I have to say, I completely get it.

Nearly all of Glossier products are:

  • hypoallergenic,
  • dermatologist-tested,
  • paraben free,
  • fragrance-free,
  • appropriate for all skin types,
  • cruelty-free,
  • vegan 

all of which of course are instant winners in my eyes!

I had been sent a few products from Glossier and whilst I will be talking about my nighttime routine in due course, I won't reveal all of the items that I received just yet... However, for this post I will be reviewing;

  • super pure serum / sérum

Key Ingredients: 

  1. Niacinamide - it has a powerful soothing action at the source of redness.
  2. Zinc PCA - this ingredient helps to clear out impurities and blocked pores both of which can cause blemishes.

I first began to apply the super pure serum after my skin had been cleansed and used 2 drops of the serum into the palms of my hands and applied all over my face. I had a couple of spots due to trying out various skincare products at once and the super pure serum claimed to reduce redness and breakouts, so I was a little dubious as to whether or not this would work for me.

Once I had applied this over my face, I could feel that instantly my face felt a lot smoother, hydrated and overall looked fresher! The redness from my spots appeared visibly reduced over several applications over 3/4 nights. I was pleasantly surprised with this serum as serums aren't necessarily my favourite type of skincare to use as often they don't seem to work on my skin. The texture of super pure felt lightweight, it didn't feel oily at all and I found that it easily absorbed into my skin!
