It has been a while since I created a LookBook and I have been meaning to ever since I chopped my hair off last September but life kept getting in the way but after several years, I teamed up with the amazing Sophia Carey who always manages to make me look better than I actually do in this ‘Men’s Spring 2024’ themed LookBook!

The striped blazer and trousers are separates although I was pretty pleased to have found a near perfect match. The blazer was from Moss Bros in 2017 and the trousers from ASOS in 2019. The cream blazer was from Topman back in 2016 and the cream, smart trousers again, from ASOS in 2023 and the white slim-fit shirt from Next in 2024. PRIDE LOOKBOOK 2021

As June 2021 marks Pride Month, I’ve been taking the time to educate myself with LGBTQIA+ history and to further explore my own gender identity and who I am.

I’ve been so focused on my career and raising deaf awareness, that I’ve completely neglected other aspects that make me me and so, with this LookBook, I wanted to reference ‘iconic’ queer looks whilst adding my own spin on things!

DEAF IDENTITY LOOKBOOK

On 27th September 2019 I launched my very own business/brand; DEAF IDENTITY to the world and as we approach the 1 year anniversary and birthday of my brand, I wanted to create something special.

One of the main questions I got asked over the past year was; ‘Why haven’t you modelled for your brand yet?’ and the reason for that is simple. I never wanted it to be about ‘me’. Yes, it’s my brand, yes it’s my message behind everything and yes I am the one in control however, I just didn’t want people to feel as though they were buying into one person. DEAF IDENTITY is a brand, it’s much bigger than just any one person and ultimately, it’s about putting deaf people into the limelight and raising deaf awareness through fashion in a fun, modern and relevant way!

With that being said, I thought now would be a good time to step in front of the camera wearing my own designs and who better to shoot me wearing DEAF IDENTITY than the amazing Sophia Carey! Within this lookbook I have worn every design and colour that I’ve released over the past first year since launching and I’m rather pleased with the results!

I hope you like this lookbook and I want to personally thank everybody for their love and support shown over this past year. I can’t begin to sum it up in words and I wouldn’t want to bore you but genuinely, thank you x

I struggled to come up with a name for this blog post as here in the United Kingdom it’s felt the least like Summer ever! LOCKDOWN LOOKBOOK

As a huge lover of all things fashion, I jumped at the chance when I saw that Jess McGhie was offering her services for a ‘Quarantine Photoshoot’! I have worked with Jessy before on DEAF IDENTITY a few times now and she honestly is, the best of the best. Having said that, whilst we’ve worked together in the past, this time was actually our first time together working for ‘me’ so to speak so I knew that I was in good hands!

I wanted to channel some outfits that I would have worn outside of lockdown and if I’m being totally honest, I just wanted to feel dapper and get dressed up again… It’s been a long 3 months for everyone so this provided me with a good excuse! I wanted to create a mens winter lookbook for 2019 that best represented my style on an evening/nighttime throughout the Winter months.
