JO MALONE LIME BASIL & MANDARIN EXFOLIATING SHOWER GEL

Jo Malone's latest launch of the new Exfoliating Shower Gel is the perfect treat for those 'me moments'!

20170829_161154085_iOS.jpg

The Exfoliating Shower Gel is available in 3 different sublime Jo Malone scents:

  1. Lime Basil & Mandarin
  2. Pomegranate Noir
  3. Geranium & Walnut

Containing the exfoliating ingredients of Jojoba Beads and Bamboo Stem, these leave your skin feeling soft to touch and don't run any risks of being too harsh upon your skin! I received the Lime Basil & Mandarin which coincidentally happens to be my favourite scent out of the three! I applied the Exfoliating Shower Gel all over my body and found it to be incredibly soft to say that it is an exfoliator.

My skin afterwards felt thoroughly cleansed and nourished, and the scent could still be smelt upon my skin for many hours after. The perfect way to unwind, and as with all Jo Malone scents, this is a smart way to fragrance combine to really maximise the longevity and performance of your chosen scents!

You can purchase Jo Malone Exfoliating Shower Gel here.

Be sure to check out my many reviews of Jo Malone here on my blog, and most recently, the show-stopping 'Christmas Launch 2017!' PS. Think 'Nutcracker'...

CLIVE CHRISTIAN GIFT GUIDE

I am a huge fan of fragrances as you may know, and I average on 20 bottles per year... I like to mix them up, what can I say? With that being said, I recently came across Clive Christian and have since become very intrigued by his wide array of perfumes for men!

Summer is now drawing to an end and as we begin to enter the cold, darker weather, I often find that the transitioning of seasons is the perfect excuse to refresh your fragrance wardrobe and to help you do so, I have created a little Luxury Gift Guide!

Clive Christian has many choices of fragrances which have been categorized into 3 collections, and from these, I have selected my favourite fragrances from each.

Please note that I haven't yet had the experience with each fragrance, and I have only made my choice from seeing the notes that I like, and my instinct purely from the descriptions of each scent.

ORIGINAL

A perfumery portfolio that embodies the true essence of the brands heritage which has laid the foundations of exquisite fragrances which have been crafted from unique and special ingredients.

No.1 Fragrance:

  • Top Note - Thyme
  • Heart Note - Lily Of The Valley
  • Base Note - Tonka Bean

I chose the No.1 fragrance as Tonka Bean remains a favourite note of mine! A rich, creamy note which I can only imagine will smell divine blending with the herbaceous note of Thyme mixed with the citrusy note of the Lily Of The Valley!

NOBLE

The Noble Collection launched in 2016 as a homage to notable periods in British architectural and design history, and feature some of the most complex and evocative fragrances within the brand!

Noble VIII Immortelle Fragrance:

  • Top Note - Bergamot
  • Heart Note - Immortelle
  • Base Note - Papyrus

Noble VIII Immortelle sounds the most intriguing to me, opening up with a burst of Bergamot which then settles into a rather floral fragrance, finally finishing off as a woody, dry fragrance!

boohooMAN: ACTIVEWEAR LOOKBOOK

I've recently been hitting the gym for the past couple of months, and whilst I am only noticing a progress now, it is true what they say: 'Slow progress is better than no progress.' Am I right? Anyway! boohooMAN approached me to shoot a lookbook and gave me the following options; Festival, Holiday, and Activewear. Normally I would opt for something classic like a holiday look, but felt that Activewear is more apt for where I am right now in life!

I chose a skinny fit tracksuit, along with the sweater with the boohooMAN print, teamed up with some skinny fit biker joggers. I met up with the incredible Matt McCormick and I knew that I wanted an 'urban' feel to the photographs, so we found an abandoned area within the heart of Leeds and I am beyond ecstatic with the results! I hope you guys are too, and it would be great to know what you all think? Also, be sure to check out my other shoot with boohooMAN from last Christmas here!

NAD'S NOSE WAX KIT

Ahead of National Grooming Day tomorrow on August 18th, I wanted to tell you about my experience with 'Nostril Waxing' courtesy of Nad's! I had heard about this treatment a couple of months ago and had always thought that it sounded incredibly painful, but having tried this out on myself I must admit, it wasn't as bad as I thought...

Before application, it is imperative to make sure that your nasal hairs aren't any longer than 2-3mm as this will only feel more painful when waxing. Once you have cleaned your nostrils with a tissue, heat up the wax in the microwave for 2 minutes and then carefully dip the SafeTip into the wax, but do not dip down to the base of the wax pot! Just a small coverage will do the trick.

Once you have the wax placed upon your SafeTip, it can be a slightly messy process when it comes to the wax dripping off, so be quick! You then pull down on your upper lip and carefully insert the SafeTip inside of your nostril and you leave this inside for 90 seconds. After 90 seconds has passed, pull down the applicator in a quick and fast motion, as this will be more effective! When I pulled down the applicator, I didn't find it to be painful as such, but I found that it was more of a shock than anything...

The after effect felt a little numb for a while but felt much cleaner, and all of the little nasal hairs that were present before had gone! I found that the build up prior to the nostril waxing was more daunting than the process itself. Quick, easy and painless, albeit slightly messy!

You can also use the other end of the applicator and use the spatula end to remove any hairs on the top of your nose. I don't particularly have many hairs on the top of my nose, so I didn't get the chance to use this, however, if you have used this before then do let me know how you got on!

You can purchase the Nose Wax Kit from Nad's here! Also, check back soon for more waxing by Nad's...

Have you tried Nostril Waxing before? How did you find it? Will you be trying this method out? Let me know your thoughts below as I would love to hear about your experiences with waxing, and don't forget to click the 'like' button!

ANTHONY CONDITIONING BEARD WASH

The Conditioning Beard Wash by Anthony claims to turn your facial hair from Shag Carpet to Red Carpet. That's a pretty bold statement right? Well, they wouldn't be wrong...

Containing the ingredients such as Bilberry Fruit extract which is used to naturally exfoliate and cleanse your beard. Rosemary and Blackcurrant which both help any itchiness to your skin caused by dryness, and then Coconut Oil which helps to soften, condition, and to detangle your beard hair.

Before application, I cleansed my face which left my beard damp, and I then placed a small pea-sized amount into the palms of my hands which I began to massage into my face, and facial hair.

My beard can often feel coarse at times, and when left looking slightly unruly, it can cause irritation on my skin! As the Beard Wash began to lather upon my face, I could feel that my facial hair felt softer and more nourished. I particularly liked how easy this was to wash off also, and the scent left my facial hair smelling clean and fresh!

With every purchase of Anthony Conditioning Beard Wash, a portion of the proceeds from the sale is then donated to Prostate Cancer Research. All in all, a great way to tame your beard whilst doing your bit for charity!

You can purchase the Conditioning Beard Wash here, and be sure to check out my review on the 'Wake Up Call Treatment Gel'!
